We all need a devotional life where we commit a few
minutes to God in prayer and Bible study. After all, how will be ever get to know God or His will for our lives if we don't spend serious time with Him.
Great Devotional Sites

For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart -
Hebrews 4:12

We must sharpen our lives and aim high in our desire to please the Living and Risen God, Jesus Christ. We do this in many ways, but the 3 primary resources for becoming a sharper Christian are...

1. Read the Bible regularly, through the "eyes" of the Holy Spirit. Pray before you read, asking Him to show you and teach you His ways. Be humble as you do and He will fill you with Godly wisdom.
2. Pray every day. It would be impossible to build a meaningful relationship with anyone if you don't spend time with them, talking and listening.

3. Fellowship. God has never endorsed "Lone Ranger" Christians. He tells us in Hebrews 10:25 to meet together as a church. If you don't go to church now, find one and get involved. One hint, don't run away to the next
church the moment you get disappointed. Running will only make you bitter and immature. Work it out and grow your roots deep into the soil that God has planted you.

My good friend and brother in the Lord, Doug McVicar has some awesome inspirational poetry that you will certainly be blessed to read. Visit his site at Hand of God.
